Our FREE ALTRAview software provides new dimensions to imaging, image processing and analysis including real-time intelligent flatfield correction, dynamic measurements, automatic counting, and much more! Key software features include:
ALTRAview is available for Windows PCs, or use ALTRAview Lite for Windows or MacOS devices.
All ALTRA premium microscope cameras include a FREE license for ALTRAview, our powerful microscopy software (PC or Mac; refer to Specifications page) for both brightfield and fluorescence imaging, image stitching, calibration and measurements, analysis, annotation, time lapse, video clips, post-processing functions, and more. Collapsible and expandable menus put the tools you need right at your fingertips.
ALTRAview includes features that have been typically available only in pay-for software applications. Such features include live image stitching, extended depth of focus (a.k.a. EDF or focus fusion), fluorescence channel merge and fluorescence channel alignment.
Use the Preferences settings to choose the tools you use and hide the ones you don’t. This puts the features you need at your fingertips, allowing you to speed through your imaging experiments. You can also set preferences for file save location, file type, metadata, white balance and auto exposure, file formats, time stamps, sidebar activation, export options, and more.
The complete ALTRAview software user manual is readily available in the Help tool of the software interface. Need help? Click the Help button in the top toolbar, then choose Help Contents to display the user manual in PDF. If you need more assistance, Contact Us to speak with an applications specialist.
Windows 7, 8, 10 & 11 (64-bit recommended)
Mac OSX 10.4 and higher
System Recommendations: Intel i5 or better (Quad Core or better); 16GB RAM or more; USB 2.0 high-speed port minimum (USB 3.0 recommended)
Above are the minimum system requirements to run ALTRAview on a computer. Due to the system demands of some cameras, the minimum system requirements may not be sufficient to achieve the camera performance as described in the camera specifications. For example, cameras with USB 3.0 specification and/or with high-pixel-resolution sensors may experience much slower frame rates than claimed. Imaging software is “resource intensive,” meaning computer and application performance may also be impacted by running other applications simultaneously with ALTRAview.
